The ‘Consume the Humans’ project is an on going artwork in the format of an Instagram account. Based on the daily experience of being a European citizen in London during the Brexit era, the project explores the social dynamic in daily life in relation to nationality and race.

Instagram was chosen as a medium, in order to explore the aspect of creativity where the artist responds immediately to the experience and the environment, as a participant and not as an observer.

The posts are covering the period just before Brexit, the Brexit day, and the following months, and alongside with the hashtags, they suggest and question aspects of reality and humanity, the perception of information and of social behaviours.

The project’s highlight of “1/3,600,00”, is a “human edition” based on the estimated 3.6 million EU-born migrants recorded living in the UK in 2018. (https://migrationobservatory.ox.ac.uk/resources/briefings/eu-migration-to-and-from-the-uk/)

The project was finilised by an edition of ten “1/3,600,00” printed T-shirt; an invitation to

identify ourselves as one of them.
